Project Nova is an ongoing initiative to replace the university’s technologically-dated and stand-alone systems with a state-of-the-art information technology infrastructure. The project is part of the university’s Strategic Plan and makes UVic one of the first universities in North America to move to a "unified digital campus."
One of the key features of Project Nova is the establishment of a unique web portal that will provide users with a single point of access to the university’s systems and services. The portal will grant any time access to UVic from anywhere you can access the Internet. More about Project Nova.
What phase are we in?
Project NOVA is currently engaged in the implementation phase for the Identity Management, Luminis Portal, Finance, and Facilities Management projects. Planning continues for many of the cross-functional applications and modules slated for future implementation. See Project Phases for further information.
